For all purposes connected therewith, and for the purpose of exercising the powers of the City as provided therein, the foregoing sections amending the Charter of the City of Sandusky as adopted by the electors on July 28, 1914, and as amended from time to time thereafter, shall take effect from the time of their approval by the electors of the City; and the amendments to the said Charter approved by the electors of the City on November 6, 1973, shall then be repealed and shall be of no force and effect, except that any powers of the City exercised thereunder shall continue to be valid.
