In recognition of the need for the establishment of a public advisory committee to advise upon the changes to structures and objects in the Downtown Design Review District when staff of the Community Development Department cannot resolve problems with applications for Certificates of Appropriateness, the Landmark Commission (as defined in Chapter 1161) is hereby established as the advisory body. The Landmark Commission will be available for special meetings, as needed, to be called by the Community Development Department.
