1343.02 APPLICATION OF OTHER CHAPTERS.

   (a)   Pursuant to Section 731.231 of the Ohio Revised Code, there is hereby adopted as part of the requirements of this Chapter, for the purpose of providing guidance and standards in the application and enforcement of this Chapter, and in determining whether the conditions of commercial and industrial premises are maintained in an approved manner, the following Codes and their subsequent versions which shall be incorporated herein:

      (1)   City of Sandusky Building Code, Part 13;

      (2)    Ohio Building Code;

      (3)    Ohio Mechanical Code;

      (4)    Ohio Plumbing Code;

      (5)    National Electric Code;

      (6)    City of Sandusky Fire Prevention Code, Part 15;

      (7)    Ohio Fire Code; and

      (8)    City of Sandusky Zoning Code, Part 11.

   (b)    Where differences occur between the provisions in this Chapter and the provisions that this section adopts, the provisions that impose the higher standard shall control.

   (c)    New construction, repairs, additions or alterations to a structure, or changes of occupancy, shall be done in accordance with the procedures and provisions of the City of Sandusky Building Code, Part 13, the Ohio Building Code, the Ohio Mechanical Code, the Ohio Plumbing Code, the National Electric Code, City of Sandusky Fire Prevention Code, Part 15, Ohio Fire Code, and City of Sandusky Zoning Code, Part 11.

   (d)    Nothing in this Chapter shall be deemed to abolish, impair, or prevent the execution of any existing remedies of the City of Sandusky or its officers or agents related to the abatement of a public nuisance.
