The Chief of Police or designee shall furnish a decal for each public vehicle for hire. The decal shall be affixed in the lower left-hand corner of the rear window of each public vehicle for hire by the Chief of Police or designee. The decal shall not be transferred from vehicle to vehicle. When the public vehicle for hire is retired from service, the decal shall be removed and destroyed by the Chief of Police or designee.
Operation of a public vehicle for hire without the proper decal or failure to have the decal destroyed pursuant to this section shall be cause for revocation of the public vehicle for hire business license. It shall be unlawful to display a public vehicle for hire business license decal on any vehicle other than a public vehicle for hire that is owned by a validly licensed public vehicle for hire business.
