(a) Prior to executing a contract pursuant to this chapter, a professional design firm shall present satisfactory evidence of professional liability insurance for professional design services to the Director of Engineering Services. The insurance shall be in an amount considered sufficient by the Director of Engineering Services.
(b) The requirement for professional liability insurance may be waived at the discretion of the City Manager.
