The Division of Fire shall be headed by the Fire Chief and shall be composed of the following officers and other members in the classified civil service, who shall be classified and paid according to the provisions of Chapter 145 unless otherwise provided for by ordinance: Chief, Assistant Chiefs, Battalion Chiefs, Captains, Lieutenants and Firefighters. The duties and functions of the department and the number and duties of the various classes of officers and employees shall be determined by the City Manager in consultation with the Fire Chief and th City Commission as provided in the City Charter.
