(a) Unless otherwise regulated, it shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle or motor vehicle on a public street for a period longer than 24 hours; and it shall be unlawful to any person to park on a public street any trailer not having a tractor or other motive power thereto attached, or any wrecked vehicle or motor vehicle, or any motor vehicle which is incapable of being moved or operated under its own power, for a period of longer than 2 hours.
(b) For the purpose of this section, to “park” means to stop or stand a vehicle or motor vehicle attended or unattended, on a public street, and the time limit set by this section shall not be considered to be complied with unless the parked vehicle or motor vehicle is moved at least 100 feet before it is reparked.
