The applicant shall provide a surety bond and indemnification of the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 1317.01, and any additional assurances that the City Manager requires of the applicant to assure the City that the applicant shall pay any and all damages resulting to any person or property by reason of any default or neglect upon the part of the licensee or of any employee, agent or contractor employed by the licensee, in the work of blasting under the license. The bond shall be given for a period of one year or if the work requires less time than one year, until the work to be performed under the license shall have been completed. The bond shall be approved as to the sureties thereon by the City Manager, and shall be for the use and benefit of the City and of any person who is injured or whose property is damaged in the work of blasting authorized to be done under the license.
