The Ohio Fire Code as incorporated into and made part of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Sandusky, Ohio, as the Fire Prevention Code of the City of Sandusky, Ohio, shall be amended and changed in the following respects:
(a) Liquefied Petroleum Gases.
(1) 1301: 7-7-36 (Chapter 36); Section FM-3605.1:
A. Location: Storage containers having an aggregate water capacity of more than 2,000 gallons of water capacity shall not be located within the City of Sandusky, except at the discretion of the Fire Chief, in particular installations the capacity limit may be altered after consideration is given to the citing provisions of Table F-3001.1, and shall be modified as indicated by the Fire Safety Analysis described in Section 3-10.2.3 of NFPiA 58 listed in Rule 1301: 7-7-35 of the Administrative Code;
(b) Marine Service Stations, Marinas, and Boatyards.
(1) Section FM-2806.1:
A. FM-2806.1-General: Marine service stations, marinas, and boatyards shall be installed and operated in conformance with NFiPA 303 listed in Rule 1301: 7-7-44 of the Administrative Code;
B. Fueling of floating marine craft at other than a marine service station is prohibited except by special authorization of the Fire Chief; and
C. Fire-fighting equipment required:
1. Standpipes, where installed, shall be installed in accordance with NFiPA 14 and at the discretion of the Fire Chief, may be required to be wet systems, and may require hose racks, hoses, and hose cabinets.
