The person chosen to fill the office of Electrical Inspector shall be a competent electrician of good moral character; shall be possessed of such executive ability as is requisite for the efficient performance of his duties; shall have a thorough knowledge of the standard materials and methods used in the installation of electrical wiring, devices and equipment; shall be well versed in approved methods of electrical construction for safety to life and property, the statutes of the State relating to electrical work, the rules and regulations issued under authority of the statutes and the National Electrical Code, its supplements and revisions. The Electrical Inspector shall meet all other requirements as provided by the statutes of the State.
