(a) Except in cases where no permit is required by this chapter, no electrical wiring, devices or equipment shall be installed within or on any building, structure or premises, nor shall any alteration or addition be made in any such existing wiring, devices or equipment without first securing a permit.
(b) Failure to secure a permit prior to the commencement of electrical work shall result in a double permit fee being charged based on the scope of the work performed.
