1349.10 PUBLIC UTILITY; NO PERMITS REQUIRED.
   Public utility companies and corporations engaged in the manufacture or distribution of electrical energy for commercial purposes shall not be required to obtain permits as issued under this chapter, or to pay inspection fees for the manufacture, transmission, distribution and metering of electrical energy and the installation, maintenance, repairs and replacement of the necessary and incidental equipment thereof by them. The point of termination of the overhead secondary service conductors shall be the limit of exemption to the local electric utility, except as to the meeting only thereof. Telephone, telegraph and district messenger companies shall not be required to obtain permits as issued under this chapter, or to pay inspection fees for the operation of signals, control circuits or the transmission of intelligence.
