1349.06 JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN'S LICENSE, CLASS B.
   (a)   No person shall install, alter or repair, within the City limits, any electrical wiring, devices or equipment for which a permit is required by this chapter, unless the individual possesses a current journeyman electrician’s license and only while employed by an electrical contractor possessing a current State of Ohio Electrical Contractor’s license. Application for a journeyman electrician’s license shall be made in writing to the Examining Board of Electrician’s stating the name, experience and qualifications of the applicant. Upon the applicant passing an examination with a grade of seventy percent (70%) or more, a license shall be granted to the individual applying for the same and this license shall grant to the individual the right to execute the work of installing, altering or repairing within the City limits any electrical wiring, devices or equipment. Journeyman electricians shall only be permitted to perform electrical work under the supervision of an Electrical Contractor that is certified by the State of Ohio and possesses a current license issued by the Ohio Construction Industry Examination Board.
   A journeyman electrician shall not be permitted to lend their license to another individual, nor procure permits in their name or any other individual's name for electrical installations.
   (b)   A journeyman electrician license shall be granted only to persons who:
      (1)   Have had at least four years' experience as an apprentice electrician or the equivalent thereof in training or education.
      (2)   Participate and pass the above-mentioned examination.
   (c)   Individuals who possess the journeyman electrician’s license shall be permitted to perform electrical installations/alterations in all phases of the electrical construction industry including, but not limited to: residential, commercial, industrial and institutional applications.
