917.11 TRIMMING TREES.
The Superintendent shall keep all trees standing upon any public area in the City trimmed so that the branches of the same projecting over any public street beyond the curb line do not conflict with the public welfare to such an extent that the lowest branches of such trees do not come within nine feet of the ground where they overhang any public sidewalk or public area or within thirteen feet of the ground where they overhang a public highway. All trees standing upon private property within the City and having branches projecting into public highways or public places shall, under the supervision of the Superintendent, be kept trimmed by the owner or occupant of such private property to the same standard as specified in this section for trees in public areas.
