909.01 HOUSE NUMBERING PLAN.
Generally, and as nearly so as practicable, buildings shall be numbered in the following uniform manner: buildings on streets running north and south shall be numbered south from Sandusky Bay; on streets running east and west they shall be numbered eastwardly and westwardly from Columbus Avenue. The basis for all numbering shall assume that Columbus Avenue runs north and south and numbers from 100 to 200 are assigned to that portion of Columbus Avenue between Water and Market Streets. Even numbers shall be used for easterly and southerly sides of streets and odd numbers for westerly and northerly sides. In numbering, 100 numbers shall be allowed for each block of ordinary length and 3 numbers for each 66-foot frontage, except there shall be one number for each 10-foot frontage in business districts. The City Engineer shall have charge of house numbering.
