No license to conduct an indoor firing range shall be issued unless an inspection discloses that the establishment at which or within which the indoor firing range is to be operated from complies with each of the following minimum requirements:
(a) A readable sign shall be displayed at the main entrance identifying the establishment as an indoor firing range; and
(b) Exhaust system must meet Ohio EPA specifications for pollution control; and
(c) Building must be of construction such that noise and projectiles are contained within; and
(d) The firing line will have bullet-proof partitions separating each of the shooters to guard against accidental discharges and exploding weapons; and
(e) The backstop will be constructed so as to trap the bullets and not allow a ricochet; and
(f) Approved firearms safety rules should be prominently displayed in the shooting area and range personnel should be responsible for enforcing them; and
(g) At least one range employee should have visual contact with the firing area when shooters are present. This can be in person or by video cameras.
