(a) An imposition of the penalties prescribed herein shall not preclude the City Law Director from instituting an appropriate action or proceeding at law or in equity to recover the property or damages regardless of value.
(b) Liability of parents or guardians for acts of juveniles. An imposition of penalties provided for by law shall not preclude the City Law Director from maintaining a civil action in a court of competent jurisdiction to recover compensatory damages from parents or any other person having the custody and control of a minor under the age of 18 when such minor occasions damages at the City of Sandusky’s Aquatic Center “Surf’s Up” Complex. Such court action shall be in accordance with the provisions of Ohio R.C. 3109.09 as now constituted or as may be hereafter amended.
