531.15 STORAGE OF TIRES.
   No person shall store new or used tires for or from automobiles, trucks, tractors, recreational vehicles or trailers outside of a building unless the owner of the building operates a business therein dealing with sale, repair, resale or installation of said tires. “Tire” includes those tires regardless of whether they are mounted on rims or not.
(a)   Any person who operates a business dealing with tires and stores tires on the exterior of his or her building shall do the following:
(1)   Remove the tires on a regular basis not less than once every fourteen days.
(2)   Not permit an accumulation of more than 300 tires at any given time outside the place of business.
(3)   Store the tires no closer than twenty-five feet from the building.
(4)   Store the tires not less than 100 feet from any residentially zoned lot.
(5)   Cover the tires with a tarp or other similar means in order to prevent the accumulation of stagnant water.
(b)   Whoever violates any provision of this section shall be subject to the penalties set forth in Section 531.99.
