For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GRADING. The movement of the earth material within a given site.
LAND EXCAVATION. The removal of sand, dirt, gravel, rock, clay or similar material or unsuitable foundation material from the land.
LAND FILLING. The deposit of the earth material or cleanfill so as to raise existing surface grades.
