Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, it is unlawful to perform a work subject to the provisions of the Building Code unless that person is currently licensed to do so under applicable provisions of this code or state law. The work includes, but is not limited to, electrical installations, plumbing, gas appliance installation, high-pressure steam fitting installation and elevator construction.
