§ 118.06 MANNER OF LICENSING, RENEWAL.
   (A)   Applications as of the effective date of this chapter. The owner or his or her designated agent shall make initial application for a license for a residential rental property existing on the effective date of this chapter by personally filing a license application with the city. A temporary license will be issued by the city until such time as an inspection can first be made.
   (B)   License expiration.
      (1)   Each license issued pursuant to this chapter shall be valid for one year from January 1 to December 31.
      (2)   The city will mail license renewal applications in December before the new license year. Failure to receive a renewal application from the city shall not excuse the owner from meeting the license requirements. Renewal applications must be filed with the city no later than the expiration date of the license.
   (C)   Change in occupancy. If there is a change in the type of occupancy from the type stated in the license application, a new license application must be filed with the city within 30 days of the date of the change. An inspection by the city may be required.
