§ 115.14 SIGN RESTRICTIONS.
   The following sign regulations apply to adult entertainment use and sexually orientated businesses in the city. These regulations are to protect children from exposure to sexually orientated or shocking signs and materials, and to preserve the value of property near adult use and sexually orientated businesses. These regulations are in addition to any other provision of the city code.
   (A)   (1)   Signs must be flat, wall or freestanding signs.
      (2)   Signs may not be located on the roof or contain any flashing lights, moving elements or electronically or mechanically changing messages.
   (B)   The city’s sign regulations for the zoning district where the business is located regulate the amount of allowable sign area and the number of allowed signs for an adult use or sexually orientated business.
   (C)   Merchandise, photos or pictures of the products or entertainment on the premises may not be displayed in window areas or in any area where these items can be viewed from the sidewalk or public right-of-way, adjoining the building or structure in which the adult entertainment use or sexually orientated business is located.
   (D)   (1)   Signs may not be placed in a window.
      (2)   A one-foot square sign may be placed on the door to state hours of operation and admittance to adults only.
