There is no charge for the issuance of a burning permit. The fee for all other permits issued under this subchapter is set by § 36.02 of this code of ordinances. Permits expire on December 31 of each calendar year. No permit may be issued or renewed for any premises that are in violation of the provisions or requirements of this subchapter. No penalty will be imposed under this subchapter until after an up-to-date inspection of the premises has been made by the Fire Chief and the owner or occupant of the premises has been notified in writing of the deficiencies found in the inspection and 30 days has been allowed the owner or occupant to correct the deficiencies after notification thereof.
