The Fire Chief shall maintain and enforce an up-to-date comprehensive set of rules and regulations governing the discipline, training and operation of the Fire Department. Such rules, regulations and any deletions, changes or additions shall be effective when approved and filed with the Council. The Fire Chief shall carry out strictly the enforcement of these rules and regulations and is authorized to suspend or remove from service any officer or fire fighter as provided in the rules and regulations.
