§ 2.20.020. QUALIFICATIONS OF COUNCIL MEMBERS.
   (a)   A member of the City Council shall be a qualified voter of the city who has been a resident of the city for at least one year immediately preceding his or her filing for office.
   (b)   A Council member who ceases to be eligible to be a city voter immediately forfeits his office.
