For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
AT LARGE. Any animal when off the property of its owner and not under immediate control of a competent person.
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. A person, or persons, designated by the Mayor, who has the authority to enforce the provisions of this chapter.
MUNICIPAL POUND. The area designated by the Mayor to be used for the confinement of impounded animals.
VICIOUS DOG. Any dog that has attacked or bitten a person or domestic animal without provocation or molestation; or which by its actions, gives indication that it is likely to attack or bite a person or domestic animal without provocation or molestation.
