(a) Violation of § 53.0605 is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00, or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed six months or both. Violation of any provisions of § 53.0604 is a parking violation subject to a civil penalty, unless the violation is a misdemeanor. The penalties for violation of § 53.0604 shall be as follows:
(1) For § 53.0604(a) the penalty amount shall be $70.00.
(2) For § 53.0604(b) the penalty amount shall be $80.00.
(3) For § 53.0604(c) the penalty amount shall be $80.00.
(4) For § 53.0604(d) the penalty amount shall be $100.00.
(5) For § 53.0604(e) the penalty amount shall be $100.00.
(6) For § 53.0604(f) the penalty amount shall be $350.00.
(7) For § 53.0604(g) the penalty amount shall be $200.00.
(b) A late fee in the amount of 50% shall be added to the penalty amount when the penalty is not paid within 31 days of the date of the notice of violation. The date of payment is the day upon which the payment is received, or, when mailed, the date of the postmark.
