When used in this Chapter, the words and phrases contained in this Section shall, for the purposes of this Chapter, have the following meanings:
EMERGENCY VEHICLES. All vehicles defined in Vehicle Code §§ 165 and 165.5.
PERSON. Includes a natural person, firm, copartnership, association, or corporation.
ROADWAY. That portion of highway improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel including improved shoulders.
SNOW AREA. All unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County encompassed by the U. S. National Forest boundary.
SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT. Rotary plows, graders and loaders with V-plot, angle-plow and/or wing plow attachments and such other machinery or equipment as may be engaged in snow removal and all supporting vehicles of the San Bernardino County Transportation Department and California State Department of Transportation or other persons engaged, hired, contracted or otherwise authorized to remove snow from State or County highways or roads.
UNATTENDED VEHICLE. A vehicle where the licensed driver responsible for the vehicle is not within an audible distance and immediately available for moving said vehicle.
VEHICLE. A device by which any person or property may be propelled, moved, or drawn upon a highway, excepting a device moved by human power or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks.
