It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit employment for himself or herself or for any other person, either directly or through some other person acting on his or her behalf, to prosecute, collect, settle, compromise or to negotiate for settlement, compromise or collection of any tort on behalf of any tort claimant in which he or she himself or herself has no pecuniary interest arising from such tort.
