The Building Official shall examine the application and may grant a permit if he or she determines that it will not be detrimental to public health and safety nor injurious to property improvements already in existence on adjacent properties. The action of the Building Official shall be conclusive unless a protest appeal is made to the Board of Supervisors within 20 days. If such is made, the Building Official shall reconsider and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for approval or denial, and Board of Supervisors shall take final action.
