§ 9.03.003 ALARM BUSINESS REGISTRATION.
   It is unlawful for any person, including the owners of an alarm business, to act as an alarm agent with the unincorporated areas of the county without first having registered with the Sheriff’s Department; provided, however, that registration shall not be required with the Sheriff’s Department; provided, however, that registration shall not be required for any business which only sells or leases the alarm systems from a fixed location unless the business services, installs, monitors or responds to an alarm system at the protected premises. Registration shall be accomplished by furnishing such information as may be required by the Sheriff’s Department, including, but not limited to the full name of the business, and the name and business address of the manager of operations for the area which includes the unincorporated areas of the county and the number of the license issued by the state’s Director of Consumer Affairs for the alarm business, pursuant to Cal. Business and Professions Code § 7593.8.
