This chapter is enacted to establish standards for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of body art and piercing establishments, to prevent disease transmission, meet consumer expectations, and for establishing standards in body art and body piercing establishments. It sets forth regulations for the persons owning body art establishments, the individuals performing body art and piercing procedures, and the establishments where body art procedures are performed.
