§ 111.39 LICENSE PERIOD; GRANT OR DENIAL OF APPLICATION.

   (A)   All licenses shall be granted by the for a period of one year beginning September 1 and ending August 31. A full year’s license fee shall be collected after September 1. If forwarded to the City Council for review, City Council shall grant or deny the application within 60 days of the time it is filed with the Clerk.

   (B)   Whenever the Mayor and City Council deny an application, they shall specify, in writing:

      (1)   The reason for the denial; and

      (2)   The actions, if any, that the applicant could take to obtain the license, transfer or renewal thereof. All licenses shall be issued by the Clerk.
