(A) Load restrictions. When signs are erected by authority of the City Council giving notice thereof, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of the amounts specified.
(B) Use restrictions.
(1) The Chief of Police or designee and the Public Works Department is hereby authorized to determine and designate those heavily traveled streets upon which shall be prohibited the use of the roadway by motor-driven cycles, bicycles, horse-drawn vehicles or other nonmotorized traffic and shall erect appropriate signs giving notice thereof.
(2) When signs are so erected giving notice thereof, it shall be unlawful for any person to disobey the restrictions stated on such signs.
