§ 53.007 CITATION; APPEARANCE.
   Whenever it is, determined by any police officer or other duly authorized officer that any person has violated any provision of this chapter, the officer shall provide, in quadruplicate, and serve upon such person a written citation containing a notice to appear in a designated court of competent jurisdiction within the city. This citation shall contain the name and address of the person charged, the offense charged, the time and place when and where the offense charged occurred, the time when the person charged shall appear in court and such other pertinent information as may be necessary; and such person shall appear in court within five days after such citation is issued and served. The issuance of a citation shall be the exclusive method of summoning offenders hereunder.
