§ 72.03 DECLARATION OF SNOW EMERGENCY.
   (A)   A snow emergency shall be declared by the First Selectman or his or her designee, either before, during or after a fall of snow, sleet or freezing rain, when, in his or her judgment, the circumstances warrant determination of such an emergency in the interest of safety upon the public roads of the town.
   (B)   The First Selectman or his or her designee shall cause public announcement of such determination of snow emergency prior to the time of becoming effective, after which time a snow emergency shall be in effect. The First Selectman or his or her designee shall determine when such emergency no longer exists and shall make public announcement of the same.
