§ 32.02 INJURY, ILLNESS IN THE LINE OF DUTY.
   If a police officer suffers a compensable injury or illness while in the performance of his or her duties with the village, and while properly performing an assigned task, such injured or ill police officer shall continue to receive his or her full weekly rate of pay from the village for the first six months following the date of injury; provided such police officer endorse his or her Workers’ Compensation check over to the village. Such police officer may be required to perform any duties within the limitations of such injury or illness during the period of the compensable injury or illness.
