§ 50.15 NON-SEWER USAGE.
   (A)   A $10 per year rental fee will charged for each meter rented for the purpose of tracking water used for non-sewer use. This charge will be directly applied to the renter’s account. The meter may be rented for a maximum of one year at a time.
   (B)   The renter will sign an agreement at the time of pick up as to the meter I.D., condition of the meter, out reading, and extra equipment used. The renter will then sign an agreement when the meter is returned as to the meter I.D., condition of the meter, in reading, and equipment returned. If the meter and equipment is not returned in its original condition, then a $50 fee will be assessed to the renter’s account.
   (C)   When the meter is returned for a usage credit, the rental period will stop and usage will be calculated using (in read - out read = usage in gallons). Credit will be given using (usage in gallons X sewer rate = credit). Credit will only be given one time during the rental period. There will be no credit for sewer that has not been through a meter.
   (D)   Credit will be given on the following billing cycle after the meter is returned, and a study may be performed for usage authenticity. An evaluation will be made by using the usage of the rented meter and comparing it to their regular meter and average water for regular use. If tampering with the usage or meter is suspected, a report will be filed with the Village Police Department.
   (E)   Meters will be available at the Village Fiscal Officer’s office during normal working hours and may be returned at the same location. The village will retain ownership of the meters at all times, and may be inspected at the renter’s location by village employees at any time.
