A. Prohibited; Exception: It is unlawful to discharge any firearms within the city, except at a regularly established shooting gallery; provided, that this section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty, nor to any citizen from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending person or property.
B. Tranquilizer Gun: This provision shall not apply to a veterinarian discharging a tranquilizer gun in the performance of his occupation as a veterinarian. (1977 Code § 8.24.040)
