There is hereby created the office of Director of Public Works of the village, which officer shall be appointed annually by the President of the Board of Trustees, with the approval of the Village Board. The Director of Public Works shall hold his or her office for the term of not exceeding one year or during the pleasure of the President and Board of Trustees of the village.
