Compensation for the Director of Public Works shall be at a rate annually determined by the Board of Trustees and shall be payable out of the Village Treasury. Compensation to any employees of the Director of Public Works who shall furnish labor or material to the village shall make out and present a bill of the same to the Board of Trustees of the village, said bill shall be certified to by the Director of Public Works as correct before the same shall be considered by said Board of Trustees.
