§ 31.15 OATH, BOND, COMMISSION.
   (A)   The Director of Public Works of the village shall, within ten days after his or her appointment by the President and the Board of Trustees of the village and before entering upon the duties of his or her office, take and subscribe the oath of office, which shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
   (B)   The Director of Public Works, after his or her appointment as aforesaid and before entering upon the duties of his or her office, shall execute and deliver to the Board of Trustees for its approval, a good and sufficient bond, signed by at least two freeholders, in the penal sum of an amount as set forth in § 35.02 payable to the village, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of all the duties of his or her office.
   (C)   The Director of Public Works of the village shall be commissioned by warrant under the Corporate Seal of the village signed by the Village Clerk and President or the Board or Trustees. The President and Board of Trustees shall issue to the Clerk a certificate of the appointment of a Director of Public Works for the village naming the person so appointed.
