(A) The Treasurer and Clerk of the village and all other officers of the village, whether elected or appointed, not otherwise provided for by ordinance, shall, before entering upon the duties of their offices respectively, take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Illinois and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of (here inserting the name of the office to which he or she is elected or appointed) according to the best of my ability.
(B) The oath or affirmation so subscribed in division (A) above shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
