There shall not hereafter be issued within the corporate limits of the village more than ten Class A licenses, and seven Class B licenses, for the sale of alcoholic liquor; provided, that all licenses in effect on April 30, 1998, may be renewed from year to year as Class A licenses if the applicants therefor shall in all other respects be qualified under the terms of this chapter.
