For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ASHES. The refuse from fires in houses, schools, stores and the like, and includes at times small quantities of glass, crockery, sweepings, dust, brick, metal and other inorganic materials.
GARBAGE. The organic waste matter, both animal and vegetable, from houses, kitchen, restaurants, hotels, hospitals and the like, comprised chiefly of waste food, and does not include liquids that may be drained into the sewer.
REFUSE. Includes tin cans, dirty rags, old clothes, waste and other materials not otherwise designated herein.
