(A) State statutes. In accordance with G.S. § 160A-373, the town shall file a copy of this chapter with the Register of Deeds of the county upon adoption.
(B) Register of Deeds. The Register of Deeds shall not, after the effective date of this chapter, record a plat of a subdivision of land lying within the jurisdiction of this chapter that has not been approved in accordance with the provisions contained herein; nor shall the Clerk of Superior Court order or direct the recording of a plat if the recording would be in conflict with the provisions or intent of this chapter.
