Upon exhaustion of administrative remedies set forth in this chapter, Chapter 92, and Chapters 130 and 131, any abandoned, nuisance or junked vehicle which is not claimed by the owner or other party entitled to possession will be disposed of by the town or by the tow truck company having custody of the vehicle. Disposition of such a vehicle shall be carried out in coordination with the town and in accordance with G.S. § 44A-1.
