505.15 KEEPING CERTAIN ANIMALS PROHIBITED.
   (a)   No person shall keep or harbor any horses, ponies, mules, cloven hoofed animal, cattle, sheep, goats, or swine in the Village, except as provided in this section.
   (b)   No swine shall be kept within the corporation limits of the Village, except as follows:
      (1)   Not more than one swine may be kept at a single-family residential dwelling.
      (2)   A swine shall be a pet that is to be kept for personal enjoyment and not kept or raised for human consumption.
      (3)   Swine shall not be bred within the Village.
      (4)   Swine must be spayed or neutered if three months or older.
      (5)   No person owning or harboring a swine shall permit such swine at any time to run or be at large. If a swine is taken off its owner’s property, it shall be on a secure leash that is not more than six feet in length which is held in the hand of a person who is of suitable age and discretion.
      (6)   Waste from swine shall be removed in an appropriate manner to prevent health and odor problems.
      (7)   If a swine become a nuisance, disturbs the tranquility of the surrounding neighborhood, or becomes a health problem, the Code Enforcement Officer and/or the Logan County Health Department shall have the authority to order the pig removed from the Village.
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
