The fee for adopting unclaimed/surrendered animals shall be determined by the Director with the approval of the Mayor. Determination will be dependent on the current market and in consideration of the costs incurred by the shelter for the care provided to the animals and benefits provided to adopters. The fees and costs will be reviewed and set at the beginning of each year.
