§ 32.02 STATUTORY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.
   (A)   Department of Parks and Recreation. There is hereby established a Department of Parks and Recreation to be controlled and operated by the Park and Recreation Board established pursuant to I.C. 36-10-3 and having the power, duties and responsibilities as set forth therein.

   (B)   Department of Economic Development. There is hereby established a Department of Economic Development consisting of the Economic Development Commission organized under I.C. 36-7-12 and having the powers, duties and responsibilities as set forth therein.

   (C)   Utility Service Board. There is hereby re-established a Utility Service Board and it shall perform duties prescribed by Sec. 19, Chapter 190, Acts of the 1933 General Assembly. The Board shall operate and manage the City Water Works and the City Sewage Treatment Plant. The City Council may establish reasonable compensation for Board members.

   (D)   Area Plan Commission of Rush County. The city elects to become a participating member of the Area Plan Commission of Rush County as established by Chapter 138, Acts of the 1957 General Assembly and having the power, duties and responsibilities as set forth therein.

   (E)   Rush County Redevelopment Commission. The city elects to become a participating member of the Rush County Redevelopment Commission and shall participate in performing prescribed duties and responsibilities as set forth by state and federal law.
